| ncRNA name | Akt siRNA |
| ncRNA Category | siRNA |
| Disease name | uveal melanoma (UM) |
| Species | Homo sapiens |
| Tissues/Cell_line | UM cell lines |
| Methods | siRNA transfection, MTT assay, clonogenic assay, wound healing scratch assay, transwell assay, cell cycle assay, luciferase reporter assay, qPCR, Western blot |
| Expression pattern | associated |
| Functional description | IGF-1 increased the cell viability, invasion, migration and S-G2/M cell cycle phase accumulation of UM cells. The effects of IGF-1 on UM cells were reversed by LY294002 (a PI3K inhibitor) or Akt siRNA, and the overexpression of FoxO3a also attenuated basal invasion and migration of UM. |
